The day picks up where it left off… on the boat! In fact, it just didn't end. Following boarding yesterday around 11 p.m., the ferry left the port for a crossing of almost 9 hours. Indeed, we left at 11:45 p.m. Newfoundland time to arrive at 7 a.m. local time (8:30 a.m. Newfoundland time), did you follow? In short, during this time, apart from starting to recharge my things, watching my cell affected by a distressing slowness, well I slept. I had reserved a seat, it's like an Elran for one person. Add to that a small bench and I was able to sleep a good 5 or 5.5 hours. I took a wolf for my eyes, never found them! It's going to go into the loss column. :) Since I didn't bring a cushion, I used my down liner as a pillow and my Klim coat as a blanket. And believe me, we can sleep!
Oh yes, I met a guy who does the same thing as me… in R1!!!! I told him he had to have the wrists finished, and him to add the knees and ankles too! But seriously, respect, you really had to dare! I forgot to ask him what tires he had on.
After having breakfast on board, then disembarking, at around 7:45, I took the road for the famous Cabot Trail. But it seems that I was not yet fed up with ferries because my route, you should know that I avoid motorways a lot, contained a ferry! :)

The landscape of this small valley was superb on the finish side but as I had a lot of people behind, some of them in quite a hurry, I don't have a photo. This is a bit of what happens throughout the journey. Either I really have people behind, and in any case on a busy dual carriageway, I'm in a bit of trouble, or the places to park the motorbike are on a slope and the motorbike risks simply falling. So, I only have a few photos (see below as always), but above all, it leaves me with an overrated aftertaste. A bit like in “all this for that! ", let's say that someone has done a very good job of communication because apart from perhaps two "mountainous" style sections, yes it is a road which has bends just like that of the Manic 5 or the unpaved one just before Fermont. No more, no less! Besides, that of Fermont is more interesting. But hey I did it and I arrived around noon at my campsite. Which is quite early, we must admit. So I set up my tent under the blazing sun (over 37 degrees) then I went to explore the surroundings.
And I found a beach. The water is warm, so pleasant that I regretted not having a swimsuit. I put both feet in it for a good 5 minutes in the waves. Even though I rolled my pants down to my knees...well they were soaked. Result of the shopping, I went to get my bag with my water, my book and I read for more than two hours on the beach to the sound of the waves... which felt good!
It’s certain that on the photo side, it’s a bit limiting, but on the fun and stopping time side… great!
Oh yes, no network. I will post this tomorrow during the day. :)
Merci
