The advantage of a B&B instead of camping is also the second B. I was able to have breakfast of pancakes with maple syrup with nice people. Including two retired geology teachers who had a trip to Gros-Mornes. They wanted to do Labrador, but like many, they canceled because of the fires. I wouldn't complain, that's how I find space! So after lunch at B&B Valhalla by the see, which I highly recommend, I went back to see the Vikings. Indeed, in addition to the Canada Park exhibition, which is therefore very rigorous, there is a reconstructed and inhabited village (animated I should say) which contains the replica of a “walking” boat from the time of the Vikings. This boat was made in Norway and arrived by sea in the same way as 1000 years ago! It’s a colossal and very impressive job. There are just 2800 nails made with the technique of the time!
Following this visit, I took the road again to reach Green Point in Gros Mornes Park. But of course, I couldn't resist a few stops but they were very limited because the road does not allow you to park safely on the side of a motorcycle and the traffic is heavier there than in Labrador.
I also went to visit Port au Choix and the adjoining lighthouse. And yes, you should never pass by a lighthouse without stopping there.
Due to a very poor cellular and wifi connection, I am only doing a short post this evening. I've had the pleasure of having the Atlantic on my right all day and I'm going to fall asleep to the sound of the waves this evening.
Merci :)
